What can Virtumonde do?

I have read from other posts here that this virus allows remote access. If I have files on my computer that have my social security number on it, such as old tax returns, does this mean someone out there may be able to look at them and get my social?

Virtumondo (Vundo) is an adware "trojan" which causes pop-up advertisements on your computer ... it is not a virus or "backdoor" it does not give anyone access to your computer ... but of course if you have been infected with vundo, then you may also have been infected with something else...
