Why don't entries go away after you do "fix"?

After the check is complete, you see the list of potential problems in spybot's
window. You go ahead and do a "fix" to fix them. After fix completes and
you click "OK" ... you still see the items. If you have poor memory, you
might be tempted to run "fix" again since you don't know whether they've
been removed or not. Is there some reason spybot can't erase them from
the screen once "fix" has been run?

Hi beyondo,

did you restart your computer after you've fixed the items?

If I restarted my computer, that would kill off spybot, so obviously I'd have
no more worries about whether items were listed there (no more app).

Are you suggesting that the items are not actually removed from the registry
and/or filesystem until the next reboot?

The items in the entry should have a green check mark to the side after you have fixed it.

No, items are removed when you click fix. Unless the Spybot has difficulty removing a persistent malware, it will prompt you to reboot.
