Why Spybot 1.5.2 cannot fix selected problems

Hi, it's my first time posting on this forum , I've never experienced a problem with Spybot S&D before and it's always been reliable with the evil spyware, but with 1.5.2 v installed, although I can complete the scanning process it gets stuck on the fixing of selected problems and cannot finalize, prompting me to use the ctrl>alt>delete command.

I was wondering whether anyone else was having this problem or if it is just me, in which case any help would be appreciated.

I use the default mode...And I have unchecked the SpybotSD Teatimer for the Lock-up icon to not show on the task bar.
Please note however that when I executed the installation file for 1.5.2v it was planted on top of my old spybot program and i.s.o. reading 9,27 MB it now reads 37,67 MB.

All works perfect except fot the fixing face!!:sad:

Can someone give me a helping hand??
Or should I have to Unistall /Install again.

I followed your instructions ie:
Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the last Checks.yymmdd-hhmm file. Double click on it and it should open with Notepad. To copy to the Clipboard > Right click and select Select All > Right click again > select Copy

I believe that you may have posted the "Update downloads.log" instead of a "Checks.yymmdd-hhmm.log" that you indicated you were posting. Please check.

Same thing and some other possible problems
Just upgraded to 1.5.2

I use three browsers
IE, Opera and Fire Fox
Usually there would be a bunch of tracking cookies from each of these browsers
now I get one or two identified:
Last one was:
MediaPlex: Tracking cookie for IE

but When I click on "Fix Selected Problems"
No nice big green check mark appears just the little select box and small green check...like it wasn't fixed

When I've run another spy removal program right after
(adaware) it doesn't identify any cookies and Spybot
on rerun doesn't pick it up...

Is it gone or just hidden from the removal programs...
Very disturbing...wonder if this is one of many glitches
or if I'm doing something wrong...

All my settings are the same as they were with previous versions.

Any help appreciated...luv spybot and would luv to continue using it
 
I run 2 browsers also ie IE7 and Netscape.
Therefore my Spybot after I run a scanning selected some cookies from both IE7 and Mozila.
The last time about 7 items.When I hit on the fix selected items I picked only the 2 from IE7 and it took almost 10 minutes to fix them.Imagine if I had picked all 7 of them.
Also scanning process took me appx.40 minutes, older versions were by far faster.
I luv Spybot too but if handicaps persist I will have to do without it.:lip:
Anyway lets keep in touch of further developments.
I dont see other responses, so it looks we are the only ones complaining.
