• Welcome Guest, to the Spybot Forums! It's 2025, and we just upgraded our forum software.

    Today is Safer Internet Day, and with our new forum, you can finally use passkeys to login. That was about time!

    Of course, you could ask if a forum is still useful, with so many social media networks out there where you might already have an account, and met a lot of users. You can now use your login from some of those networks to log in here. And by posting here, your question and data is stored on our servers and not automatically shared with a whole social media network.

    We'll also start using the forum for small bits of information, announcements and more again.

Wierd issue with running spybot

I notice that when I go to run spybot it appears off the left side of my monitor, completely out of view. I am unable to move it back to my view to use it. Any ideas on how to change the monitor location spybot opens up at? Any assistance would be appreciated.

The Spybot's window attributes are stored in the systems registry. Since I can not attach a .reg file in this forum, I have attached .zip file that contains a .reg file to reset the Spybot window attributes to their default values. The content of the .reg file is as follows:

Code:
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PepiMK Software\SpybotSnD\Window]
"Left"=dword:000000c0
"Top"=dword:000000a4
"Width"=dword:00000280
"Height"=dword:000001b8
"WindowState"=dword:00000000
Instructions:
  • Exit Spybot-S&D.
  • Download the attached Spybot_Window default.zip file.
  • Unzip (extract) the Spybot_Window default.zip. This will produce a Spybot_Window default.reg file
  • Double click on Spybot_Window default.reg file.
  • Answer "Yes" then "OK" to the messages received.
  • Start Spybot-S&D.

Much thanx. I think my system got messed up previously due to a dual monitor setup. Thank you for your assistance!
