Windows 7 not recognizing Spybot is on.

Running Windows 7 64, new Windows 7 and Spybot + AV install after Win 10. After latest windows 7 update, Action Center notice to start Spybot. When Spybot Start Center is opened, indicates Spybot is ON, etc. When I click on Start Spybot, windows goes thru the motions, but nothing changes in the Action Center reporting.

I have no intention of running Windows 10 again.

Hello oceanmariner,

Please see my response to another member here.

"The issue appears to lie with the Windows Action Center blocking the ability of security programs to correctly report their status. Although the third party products appear to be working normally the Windows Security Center shows conflicting information."

You could try posting at the Microsoft Answers Forums. Win7

Best regards.

No Reasonable Fix

Apparently the fix is to go to another anti viris. Microsoft help is useless as always.

Close this, I'll go to another program.

Hello oceanmariner,

This forum is for Spybot - Search & Destroy software support. Your third JPG attachment showed that Spybot is working:

Microsoft has its own forums for their software and operating systems.

However, of course we do try to find information on issues that concern all Windows users and sometimes a solution can be found at Microsoft. :)

Apparently the fix is to go to another anti viris.

From the other thread I linked to,

"Multiple security programs have reported the Windows Action Center error per Google results and on more than one operating system."

Frustrating....

Best regards.
