Default something changes proxy server settings

Why can't spybot detect when something sets a proxy server in my registry?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

If anything is changed in your registry the resident TeaTimer should alert you.
Have you activated the resident protection?

Tea timers is part of the start up files, but I do not get a warning, nor can search & destroy locate the culprit.

    Thanks.

I get the tea timer balloon running much of the time, but the migrate proxy setting changes without any response from tea timer.

    Hello,

So do you think it is something bad that is making these proxy changes?
Probably it is just a program in your startup like Adobe that is doing updates.

The first reason why it is not being alerted by the resident TeaTimer is that is is an usual function for uodates and the Internet Explorer is whitelisted.

The second reason is that you have set the TeaTimer to it's new way of monitoring. To return to the "old" way of monitoring right click on TeaTimer and change it to "Paranoid Mode". This thread has more details on the new TeaTimer.

P.S. Please do not request help via pm's.
The forum is there for a reason.
    Thanks.

    Best regards

Thank you very much. The paranoid option has been set, yet I still get the problem. Is there a way to make tea timer check all changes for a while so that I can figure out what the problem is? Is there any way that I can prevent any changes in the proxy server settings?

    Again, thank you.
