Question Must Spybot Stop With Every Message?

Is there a way I can configure Spybot to continue to Scan when it has a message.

Currently, I get Warnings or miscellaneous advisory messages and the scan is stopped at the same time. This wastes a lot of time and makes the scan take a lot longer. It prevents a scan from conveniently completing when I am away from the computer.

Default Is There a Log? Where Is It?

Does Spybot make a log of it's scans?

    Where would one find them.

There is no entry for log in the application's help file.

    Question Why Ignore SideStep?

Under Settings, why is SideStep checked by default?

I found it checked. I didn't check it. At least not intentionally. It appears to be the only thing checked.

    Should it be unchecked?

    Default

    Hello Tom,

    1. What kind of messages do you mean exactly?

    2. It should be stored here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs

    3. CDilla and SideStep are listed to the ignore products by default.
Please see the following thread for more information:
Why are CDilla & SideStep checked in Ignore Products?

    Best regards

    Hi Sandra,

In version 1.6, a message that halted my last scan was to suggest I immunize after the scan.

Before that, I was getting warning messages about some virus, but that was in outdated version 1.5, so maybe that doesn't apply anymore.

Question Why Did Immunize Reduce My Protected? Protected What?

    Win XP Pro
    SSD 1.6.2.46 detection update: Oct 19, 2011

Why, prior to Immunization, did my Unprotected = 0 and my Total amount = Protected amount; but after Immunizing, my Unprotected became = 60810 and my Protected was reduced by that amount?

I ran a full scan which SSD interrupted part way through to give me a message suggesting I Immunize after the scan, which I did.

Also, what do these terms and quantities refer to, anyway?
