I did not want real time protection; I think it is called teatimer so Sandra advised me to undo anything immunized which I did.
2 questions
1-is there anything else to do besides undoing immunize so teatimer is not functioning -anything repeatedly that is.?
In the advancd menu, under tools I see the resident box with a check. Isn't the full time protection called the resident teatimer? If so, should this box be unchecked so I don't have full time protection involved. I think it is to report things that tea timer did but am not sure.
Thank you for your help

Hello,

The resident TeaTimer is something different than the immuization.

So if you want to have no resident protection at all:
run Spybot-S&D, switch to the "Advanced mode" via the menu bar item "Mode" --> hit "YES" --> select "Tools" in the navigation bar on the left --> "Resident" and there you can untick the checkboxes in front of the two tools.
Then also undu the immunization.

Pardon my non techy capabilities.
1-I clicked tools and in the box I saw resident which I unchecked.
I noticed you said two boxes so could you please tell me what the other box says?
2-To undo immunize, do I click on immunize and do something? I have not clicked on immunize as I don't know what I'll see.
Thank you for your patience

Hello,

The resident that you can deactivate is:
-Resident "SDHelper"
-Resident "TeaTimer"

You can only undo the immunization by clicking undo from the menu bar above if you have clicked immunize before. Otherwise you have not immunized at all and no undo is necessary.

Thank you for your prompt reply.Thisis is a great forum as I have usd Spybot or years.
I'll try your ideas and see how I do.
What do you think of uninstall and reinstall so I'd be back to square 1 or is that not a good idea?
