• Welcome Guest, to the Spybot Forums! It's 2025, and we just upgraded our forum software.

Today is Safer Internet Day, and with our new forum, you can finally use passkeys to login. That was about time!

Of course, you could ask if a forum is still useful, with so many social media networks out there where you might already have an account, and met a lot of users. You can now use your login from some of those networks to log in here. And by posting here, your question and data is stored on our servers and not automatically shared with a whole social media network.

We'll also start using the forum for small bits of information, announcements and more again.

I've got 2 PC (one with Windows 7, IE 8, the other with Vista, IE 8). Both have Spybot 1.6.2. Vista PC gives me options on what to remove, the Windows 7 PC doesn't. I'm new to SB, please advise how to get the Windows 7 PC to give me removal optios. Especially how to get rid of cookies (I've gone through the ignore cookies and marked what I want to keep, but it's keeping all cookies). Thanks Utah1

Sorry to take so long, didn't have the problem PC available for awhile.

Yes, I tried running as an administrator, no difference.

Hello,

Then I guess you do not have admin rights after all.
Please rightclick the Spybot icon, select Properties, Compatibility Tab, and under Privilege level, checkmark "Run this program as an administrator", then click Apply, and OK.

Best regards

I didn't have administrators rights, howeveer, it made no difference. Cookies are still there, fix problems is still grayed out and the program thinks there are no problems.
