The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Banyan.eSafe" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Banyan.eSafe gets installed along Elex.Desk365 without any user consent. With its naming it implies to be some kind of security software but it does nothing to protect the user or the computer.​
Removal Instructions:

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products that have a key or property named "WsysControl".
Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$APPDATA>\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Google Chrome.lnk".
  • The file at "<$APPDATA>\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Mozilla Firefox.lnk".
  • The file at "<$APPDATA>\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Opera.lnk".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Google Chrome\Google Chrome.lnk".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Mozilla Firefox.lnk".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Opera.lnk".
  • The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Preferences".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Mozilla Firefox\browser\searchplugins\qvo6.xml".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\Internet Explorer.lnk".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Banyan.eSafe uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$APPDATA>\eIntaller".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Banyan.eSafe uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "qvo6Software" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry key "WsysSvc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "WsysSvc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Eventlog\Application\".
  • Delete the registry key "WsysSvc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "WsysSvc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\Eventlog\Application\".
  • Delete the registry key "WsysSvc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "WsysSvc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\Eventlog\Application\".
  • Delete the registry value "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\eSafe\eGdpSvc.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
  • Delete the registry value "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\eSafe\eGdpSvc.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
  • Delete the registry value "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\eSafe\eGdpSvc.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
  • Delete the registry value "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Opera\Launcher.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\OperaStable\shell\open\command\".
If Banyan.eSafe uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.

Browser:

The following browser plugins or items can either be removed directly in your browser, or through the help of e.g. Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer.
  • Please check your bookmarks for links to "qvo6.com".
