I have tried everything but spy bot stops at about 80% on the the search win32.Qhost.ake. Can anyone help me with this problem (running windows 2000 Pro. Thanks Mike

Same problem, I have Windows XP and 1.5.2.20 well updated.
Could it be connected with the fact that 2008-04-24 update of Spybot included a modification relating to Qhost.ake ?
Tips suggested in the mentioned thread did not work (to clean all temporary files).

This problem is similar to the problem where Spybot-SD user's faced the point where Spybot scanned up to the Zlob.download.bs. All I can suggest is to go the ADVANCED MODE under the Mode Tab. Click on the settings tab, and IGNORE PRODUCTS. Find the win32.Qhost.ake "fingerprint" and click on the box. From now on, Spybot-SD will ignore that "fingerprint". I'll assume that the scan will continue as normal.
 
Zlob.downloader.bs_Spybot

Just experienced the same problem. CTRL_ALT_DELETE_held there for a few moments_looked at processes_did not end task_minimized screen_back @ desktop_Spybot process screens were blank_thought hmmm_then suddenly_scan began again. Just stopped again_LavaSoft AdAware incompatibilities_chose-YES_now off to check their website. We'll see...:snorkle:
