Auto-scan of attachments in Outlook 2k

Hi,

W2k sp4 desktop, Office 2000, Spybot S&D 1.6.0.31.

Since I updated, I can't get an "Open With" when opening an attachment with an unrecognized file type in Outlook 2k. I get instead Spybot auto-scan.

The same issue outside Outlook 2k was more-or-less resolved some months ago.

I can "Save to disk", then get my "Open With", but I shouldn't have to store on disk, run an app, then have to delete the file. Eh?

Spybot somehow got set as some kind of default, I think by the Spybot install. Not what I need.

I wouldn't mind keeping Spybot in my right-click menu (not on top). Otherwise I don't need it to be associated with -any- file.

Any help?

OK, I've read it.

No help.

I'll repeat part of my query:

To eliminate the problem you could disable Spybot's "Scan using Spybot-Search&Destroy" right click context menu option entirely using the instructions provided to you in your October 2008 thread.

Uh, if you try it and see it the results you might reconsider it.

.reg files aren't really that hard. Double click it and merge it, and you're good to go.

You could uninstall and reinstall eliminating the feature during the reinstall.

Is that the best the Spybot crew can do???
