Search and Destroy won't run.

When I try to run a scan, spybot closes and i can't re-execute the program. I have to go into the properties and uncheck read-only and take ownership of the file. Once I do that, I can run spybot again but, when I start the scan, it dies. I have followed the steps in this forum to run the .scr, rename, safe mode, etc... I ended up going to HijackThis to get a log but, when that scan starts, it dies also and does the same thing to that executable that it does to spybot. When in safe mode, i check the processes. There is nothing out of the ordinary running. Can someone help?

Please start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum
If the infection prevents HJT from running, please start a topic, make note of the situation and wait for a response. Please do not add logs from other scans. :)

spybot wont run

I thought I was starting a topic. I'll return to the forums to find where to start a topic.
