update configuration failure

hi.. i have windows vista home premium.My computer fails to configure the updates even though there is enough space for update and configuration. Recently my user profile has also stopped working...please help.

well i have windows vista that came preinstalled in my laptop...From few days i have problem configuring the updates..when i turn my laptop on there's a screen that comes up showing "configuration updates: stage 3 of 3 - 0% complete" and after a couple of seconds it read windows couldn't configure updates.Reverting changes....This is happening even though there is around 86GB of free space in my laptop....My user profile also stops working withing seconds when i connect to the internet giving following details

....what should i do????:confused:
 
hi...i tried both the resolutions for solving problems in configuration but those didn't help....also user profile solution gave a DOS or a very old version like look to my internet explorer after i turned off DEP for all the files and if DEP is to be turned off only for a few selected files then for which ones????I am sending you hijackthis log aswell...
