Nortons internet Security 2007 Conflict

As I was installing the new version a splash screen opened up stating nortons was not compatable with spybot 1.4 and should be removed, I did not uninstall spybot and have not had a problem yet and help with this would be appreciated is this a cosmetic thing a bug .............
