1.5 starts much slower than 1.4

Although scanning the computer with Spybot 1.5 doesn't seem to take any longer than using 1.4, the time for initial loading of the program and the time immediately after downloading updates seems to be much longer. This is a bother because one needs to wait around while setting up a scan.

Is this a feature or a bug?

I've seen the same issue on both Vista and XP.
 
Seems to work

The update fixes the starting problem. I don't know about the behavior after downloading updates since I'm up to date on updates.

BTW it wasn't completely clear what to do with the update, but I used the two files to overwrite their equivalents in my installed copy, and it seems to have done the trick.
 
Fixes behavior after updates too

I found a computer that hadn't already downloaded this week's updates and the new version fixes the slowness there too.
