Administrator rights

I have administrator right and I am not running Vista but I can't get my computer immunized completly. I am not running any anti virus software other than Microsoft Defender. Any ideas?

"On Windows Vista and Windows 7, Spybot-S&D might tell you that you are not authorized to perform some actions, since they require Administrator rights. You can solve this problem as follows:

1. Right-click the Spybot - Search & Destroy entry in your start menu, instead of just left-clicking to start it.
2. Choose Run as administrator from the context menu."

Administrator Rights Windows 8

Hi tashi,

I am running windows 7 and internet explore 8 and I right click on spybot and run as administrator was not there. If I go to properties and security I see admin options there but I'm not sure how to use.

Administrator Rights Windows 7

I have windows 7 internet explorer 8..sorry my bad. But I found that I was not going deep enough in my program. I was right clicking the first spybot on my program list. I had to left click the first spybot and THEN right click the second spybot.
