After removal, certain internet apps blocked

In the last few weeks, I've been hit a couple of times with the Fake AV malware. Spybot successfully removes it, but after removal, some internet connectivity has been blocked. Images in email (Outlook 2003) are blocked, Weatherbug is blocked and another phone application is blocked. I've had to create new profiles each time to restore the blocked applications. In one single instance, I was able to immunize and then un-immunize and restore connectivity. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,

Please run Spybot-S&D and select "Spybot-S&D" --> "Immunize" in the navigation bar on the left. Please hit "Undo".
Then open Spybot - Search & Destroy in the Advanced mode via the menu item Mode.
Now select 'Tools' - 'Resident' from the navigation bar on the left.
Please untick the checkbox in front of the 'SDHelper'.

Best regards

Sandra,

Thanks for the quick reply. There was nothing that was immunized, but I chose undo anyway.

Under Resident, SDhelper was already unchecked.

Everything is still blocked.

Hello,

I am sorry, but then Spybot is not the issue here.
Our software can't be blocking anything.

Here's the reason I think it's Spybot: If I take a clean XP profile and I run "immunize", the very same applications and functions are blocked. If I undo immunize, the functionality returns to these applications. When one of the XP profiles is infected with malware, and Spybot removes it, the very same applications and functionality are blocked in exactly the same way they were when I immunized, the only difference is, I can't undo the immunize to fix it, because nothing's immunized. In both of these scenarios, which I can consistently duplicate, the ONLY common denominator is Spybot.
