am I gonna have to uninstall Spybot?

I'm tired of the several update services and whatever else, always running in the background and using up memory. Normally wouldn't be an issue, but a couple of my games are memory hogs.

I try to turn them off via task manager, but they keep starting up.

ps. I also unchecked Spybot under msconfig, and stopped/disabled all Spybot related processes under services -- did nothing; they still run in the background upon startup

Anyone wanna tell me how to stop this, or should I just uninstall Spybot?

Hello Mysenthrope,

What is the operating system and which version of Spybot do you have.

Best regards.

Well, the interface looks like the old Spybot, which is nice, but it still runs stuff in the background that apparently can't be turned off, no matter what I do.

Will be uninstalling.
