Antispyware updates will not download

Hello,

My antispyware will only download halfway and the green bar is stuck in the middle and wont update all the way. How can i fix this? Thanks

When the update gets stuck halfway, is it on an update called spybotsd2-install-iefreezefix.exe?

I'm not the original poster but I am experiencing the same issue and yes the last update line is:

[01:38.176] [+] File "spybotsd2-install-iefreezefix.exe" needs to be downloaded.

Any suggestions?

(m/f) has a post here of where you can look to see if the file was downloaded.If so the file should be able to be run manually:

I had the same problem and I fixed it by finding this file:

spybotsd2-install-bdupd-2017a.exe

in the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2\Updates\Extracts' folder, then running it. Close Spybot, re-open, re-run the update, now it will continue to update.

I have a new computer with Windows 10. I found the file and ran it, re-opened, re-ran update, and it still does NOT work.
