Attack Yesterday

I responded to a fake Microsoft security notice and now cannot access SpyBot, my Firewall and sevral other applications. If I try I get the 'Choose which program you want to open this file' page. I have tried Orange who suggest I load an update, but this has the same response as does a SpyBot download.

How can I clean-up?

If you would like someone to take a look at the system please see this FAQ "BEFORE You POST"(Please read this Procedure Before Requesting Assistance)

It includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide preliminary DDS logs, used for analysis.

Then start a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.

If the DDS won't run please start a new topic anyway and make a note of the issue.
