AV Security Suite + rogue anti-spyware

I got this computer from a friend and it isn't validating by windows so I can't update unless I buy a copy. I'd rather invest in another computer when I get the money but for now I guess I'll just try to get as much life out of this computer as possible.

Anymore suggestions?

Well if windows is not validating than there could be a couple of problems, one something is preventing it from updating, the second being is that the copy of windows is illegal and if thats the case here then this is as far as I can go as we do not condone the use of illegal software and or operating systems. It looks like your friend gave you a computer with an illegal copy of windows.
