boy does my comp have issues!! we need help!

ok, at this very second avast has picked up wn32:VB-IE and it wants to put it in the valt folder thing but every time it does the virus just opens another one (security alert), also avast is conflicting with ad-aware se, avast is saying thats its a virus and the ad-aware IS a virus.:sad:

i have all sorts of things on this comp e.g.

win32:purityscan-q
win32:trojano-g
win32:adware-gen X 9 times
win32:vb-ie
win32:agent-ry
win32:purityscan-af

and thats just some of the ones i wrote out.
ive tryed my mouse and keyboard on a different computer and is all working fine but it keeps missing letters during typing and the mouse is playing up.

no scan seems tohelp and things are getting desperate.

any info we would be greatfull for.:red:
 
Click here to download HJTsetup.exe
  • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
  • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Click on
    Edit > Select All
    then click on
    Edit > Copy
    to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Yes, you've done it right. :)

Now rename HijackThis.exe file -> anything.exe and post a fresh hjt log. We need to do this to make hiding malware visible.

i tryd to change it like you sd but i couldnt as its le, i can hange the hijackthis.zip but nothe the .exe, is there aything wlse i can do?
 
sorry the are stuffing all the typeing and mouse up.

i downloaded this thing to for smithfraud too as spybot picked up 2 entries last scan.

Just noticed that you are running HijackThis right from zip-file. So, it looks like you didn't follow my instructions after all. If you had followed those step by step you should have hjt installed in c:\program files\HijackThis -folder. After that you surely can change HijackThis.exe filename -> scanner.exe.

Please download AVG Anti-Spyware to your Desktop or to your usual Download Folder.
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
  • Install AVG Anti-Spyware by double clicking the installer.
  • Follow the prompts. Make sure that Launch AVG Anti-Spyware is checked.
  • On the main screen under Your Computer's security.
    • Click on Change state next to Resident shield. It should now change to inactive.
    • Click on Change state next to Automatic updates. It should now change to inactive.
    • Next to Last Update, click on Update now. (You will need an active internet connection to perform this)
    • Wait until you see the Update succesfull message.
  • Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware Tray Icon and uncheck Start with Windows.
  • Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware Tray Icon and select Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido.
AVG Anti-Spyware manual updates.
Download the Full database to your Desktop or to your usual Download Folder and install it by double clicking the file. Make sure that AVG Anti-Spyware is closed before installing the update. Don't run AVG yet. Will do it a bit later.


Download ATF (Atribune Temp File) Cleaner© by Atribune to your desktop. Don't run ATF yet. Will do it a bit later.


Disable Windows Defender's realtime protection.
  • Open Windows Defender
  • Click on
    Tools
  • Click on
    General Settings
  • Scroll down to
    Real-time protection options
  • Uncheck
    Turn on Real-time protection (recommended)
  • Click
    Save
  • Exit the program.


Start hjt, click do a system scan only, check:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {DF780F87-FF2B-4DF8-92D0-73DB16A1543A} (PopCapLoader Object) - http://games.pogo.com/online2/pogo/b...ploader_v6.cab
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winrvc32 - winrvc32.dll (file missing)
O23 - Service: DomainService - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\xgihopna.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: Microsoft security update service (msupdate) - Unknown owner - c:\windows\system32\msvcrtd.exe

Close browsers and other windows. Click fix checked.


Creating & executing batch file
-------------------------------

Open notepad and then copy and paste the bolded lines below into it. Go to File > save as and name the file fixes.bat, change the Save as type to all files and save it to your desktop. (If you are still unsure on how to do this there is a little tutorial with pictures here)

sc delete DomainService
sc stop msupdate
sc delete msupdate

Double-click on fixes.bat file to execute it.


Show hidden files
-----------------
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.


Delete following files if found:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\winrvc32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xgihopna.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcrtd.exe


Running temp cleaner & AVG Anti-Spyware
---------------------------------------



Double-click ATF Cleaner.exe to open it

Under Main choose:
Windows Temp
Current User Temp
All Users Temp
Cookies
Temporary Internet Files
Prefetch
Java Cache
*The other boxes are optional*
Then click the Empty Selected button.

Firefox (if you have it installed):
Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

Opera (if you have it installed):
Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.



Close ALL open Windows / Programs / Folders. Please start AVG Anti-Spyware and run a full scan.
  • Click on Scanner on the toolbar.
  • Click on the Settings tab.
    • Under How to act?
      • Click on Recommended Action and choose Quarantine from the popup menu.
    • Under How to scan?
      • All checkboxes should be ticked.
    • Under Possibly unwanted software:
      • All checkboxes should be ticked.
    • Under Reports:
      • Unselect Automatically generate report after every scan and uncheck Only if threats were found.
    • Under What to scan?
      • Select Scan every file.
  • Click on the Scan tab.
  • Click on Complete System Scan to start the scan process.
  • Let the program scan the machine.
  • When the scan has finished, follow the instructions below.
    IMPORTANT : Don't click on the
    Save Scan Report
    button before you did hit the
    Apply all Actions
    button.
    • Make sure that Set all elements to: shows Quarantine (1), if not click on the link and choose Quarantine from the popup menu. (2)
    • At the bottom of the window click on the Apply all Actions button. (3)

  • When done, click the Save Scan Report button. (4)
    • Click the Save Report as button.
    • Save the report to your Desktop.
  • Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware Tray Icon and select Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.
Reboot in Normal Mode.

i downloaded and installed the avg from the link you provided me, and i did what you said, but the avg didnt launch, also when i click on it it wont open.

So you had success with AVG Anti-Spyware installation but can't run it? Could you try to reinstall it to see if that fixes the problem? This is first time when I see this kind of thing happen with AVG.

i have tryed several times from different sites to download it but when it had tryed to install it came up with a couple files not found. ill try again and make another post.

to install without removeing the old one (couldnt remove it at all anyways) and it wont do it, gets 2 bars along and stops.
 
Hi

Before installing did you first download it to your desktop or did you try installing it right after clicking download now button at web site? If you didn't first download it to desktop then download may have become corrupted and that's why installation fails.

I just tried installation and hadn't any problem with it (I saved first avgas-setup-7.5.1.43.exe file to my desktop before starting installation by clicking on it).
 
i have

downloaded AFT like you said but have not run it as you said not to yet. i have diabled win defender like you said to. have not done anything else yet.

to the desktop and followed every instruction to the dot. like you said. (except for the rest of it after it was ment to launch). i dont know whats wrong.
