Can .wmv files carry spyware?

I received a .wmv file and although my anti-virus said it was clean, my hard disk started cranking away and it looked like my computer froze for a few minutes. Then Windows Media Player came up and played the file. I ran SB and it found some general stuff but nothing serious. Still, I know that SB can't detect every spyware out there. Is there a place where I can have this file scanned?
