Cannot Uninstall Spybot 2 beta

Whao this is a first for me.

I installed it SpyBot 2. then decided to use the 1.62.

Went to Control panal -( the usual path..etc )

clicked uninstall - and it been like 1 hour later - an all i get is
" Please wait until current program is finished uninstalling or being changed"

What ? never seen that before in 10 years. What the heck happened ?

I been using spybot since it came out - Now spybot 2 is giving me problems.


--- i can't even delete the files off the C drive an I am the admin

--ok finally got all the files off but ONE ---> SDCoffPH.dll

any advice?

Windows 7 PC btw. argghhh

Damn - last time i try some Bleeding and cutting edge app before it is fully tested

A couple other people couldn't uninstall and found they had to stop the services for Spybot beta 2 first:

You could try booting into Safe Mode,and see if you can remove SDCoffPH.dll.

I'm not 100% certain what that file is/does other than the "Hooks for on-access monitoring" description,so you might want to back it up somewhere beforehand,just in case.
