can't get rid of problems

I think I need help,
I have already posted for advice with the above heading.
I have tried to follow all the advice.
Today I installed Hijackthis and have a log file on my desktop now.
The only thing I have not done yet is run spybot in 'safe mode'
I have just read how to do it from a forum and am going to try that.
If anyone has any ideas to help me I will be back after I have scanned the computer in safe mode.
I have windows XP
