much thanks in adnvance

Odd youve already been infected on a clean install.

Any Idea where you cought that ? visiting crack site's or the use of P2P program's or installing adware supports programs perhaps ?

Why not format again then update and take all the precoutions, ie prevention is the key here not necessarily cleanup
An av other than norton would be better, and a firewall to.

ugh well, i dont have the time to re-format once again, school's becomin crazy and I'm at my cabin about every weekend, reformating took about 2 days I'm betting to do it all then re-organize to my liking, the odd thing about this occurance is all i see happening with the bugs this time is that i get a billion pop-ups, i still have full access to the internet and my backround is fine, which is completely different from last time, is there nothing i can do using HJT to attempt to atleast fix the pop-ups?

yah....i learned my lesson, never use bearshare and dont scan everything u take in, yah i got a few stuff on bearshare recently

Well even if you scan everything downloaded with p2p program, with five seperate scanners you will eventualy still get infected.
Atleast make use of your av and virustotal, better yet never use a file sharring program, root of all evil in my opinion.

Download then run Look2Me-Destroyer:
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/28/
it can take up to five minutes to start, post its report after reboot.

my L2M report is...

and where do i put the hosts file? I don't quite understand the directions on the website

Hi

The instructions are pretty simple on this page
How To Download and Extract the HOSTS file:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts2.htm
simply download the zip then unzip it and run the batch file, that puts the hosts file in the correct folder for you.

Next

you already have the c:\bfu folder created with BFU.exe inside correct ?
Otherwise this will not work

  • Download qoofix.bat (rightclick on this link and choose save as)
  • Place qoofix.bat in your C:\BFU - folder. (Important!)
  • Doubleclick qooFix.bat, Close all browsers and explorer folders.
  • Choose option 1 (Qoolfix autofix) and follow the prompts.
  • Please be patient, it will take about five minutes.
  • After the PC has restarted please post another hijackthis log.

Did the goo thing, here's newest HJT...
