Computer reboots

Hi deputydawag
the log did not show any events for today

Have you tried run system file checker

If you have the Microsoft Windows XP installation disk.
Click Start>Run,type sfc /scannow then press Ok.
Leave a space in between sfc and /scannow
Reboot when you've done

Thanks peku006

I ran it again...BTW did the Kaspersky Scan remove that trojan it found?
I don't have the installation disk.
Also thank you so much for all your help

Hi deputydawag
BTW did the Kaspersky Scan remove that trojan it found?
no, we will remove them manually (little later)

your "reboot- problem",I don't believe it is malware related

Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration?

Hi deputydawag

Please delete these files

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL\UserProfiles\All Users\antiSpyware\dat\ASP33.tmp\aspapp\setup.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\Downloads\SetupGamevance(2).exe
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\Downloads\SetupGamevance.exe

Did you install ,uninstall or update program before the problems started

There are 3 setup exe

alsetup.exe (aol loader )
setup.exe ( aol )
tbsetup.exe ( aol diagnostics )

Yes...granddaughter installed a game 2 days before the problems started. I don't remember what is was , but I uninstalled it...but the problem continues.
I'm beginng to think this hardware related, maybe a bad ram or somthing.
