crss.exe on system now gone!?

I had crss.exe on my system and running in proccess and now it is gone. Now I have smss.exe and
alg.exe running in my process tree. Never did before that I knew of.

I uninstalled stopsign antivirus and another spyware anti-spyware program.

Now my firewall stops, closes, and restarts. the other computer on the network just startes up and shutsdown now.
