after installing the program(ver. 1.6.2 on Win XP SP2)I found that when I double-click on a .dat movie file it no longer be opened by MPC but some scanning window opens.
how to restore my file associations?
Try right clicking on the .dat movie file and hover to "Open With..." (open program...) find Media Player Classic and tick "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file".
