Denied Access

seems like spybot is being denied access when it scans, i get a list stuf like this :
Error during check!: Dummy [1 - $649C5A6E] (Cannot open file "C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts". Access is denied) (Status)


anyone can help this noob to fix this crap? pls
 
Is access to the hosts file the only thing denied?
Do you have any programs installed that might "lock" the hosts file?
Anything like Spysweeper?
Or Zone Alarm or Stopzilla?
