Today I am going to be taking a look at Digsby, the app that puts all your instant messaging, email and social networking in one interface!
When I first heard about Digsby I immediately thought "Wow, that sounds useful" and installed it
Digsby is made for people (like me!) who can't be bothered to go over to different sites to check their email and social networking
Instant Messaging
Digsby makes instant messaging so simple, especially if you have multiple accounts. You just add your account type (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, Jabber and even Facebook Chat
, enter in your details, then chat
You can log into all of these accounts simultaneously, (I have 3 MSN accounts and a Facebook account on at the same time) which makes chating to people much easier

Email
To add email, it is a similar process - You just add the account type (Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, AIM and POP and IMAP), enter in your details and you're done
Digsby also allows you to preview what's in your inbox, not only showing you how many email you have got, but also shows you the date, subject and first line of the email
Not only that it also allows you to do common things to the email when hovered over, like:
Open, Mark as Read, Archive, Delete, Report Spam

Social Networking
Digsby also allows you add social networking aswell which currently includes: Facebook, Myspace and Twitter
Like add IM and Email accounts, adding social networks is the same

As you can see from the image above, Digsby provides a useful summary interface when the facebook (or other social networks) icon is hovered over
Conclusion
Digsby provides all this information in a sleek, uncluttered and totally customisable interface. I definitely recommend Digsby for anyone who finds it annoying to have to go to different websites and to have different IM clients installed
