Disable Anti Virus Component

I have just purchased Spybot Search & Destroy 2.2 Home addition. I have read on the site that the AV can be disabled but how do I do that? I have looked at settings and couldn't see anything obvious.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
 
If you open Spybot start center,checkmark advanced mode,click Settings(saying Yes to UAC,if applicable),click the Live Protection tab,then you click Show Live Protection Advanced Control,you can see two options to deactivate Live Protection,or uninstall Live Protection. :)
