Hard to answer since you didn't include a list of the files or the circumstances of the update.
If this is your initial update after installing Spybot-S&D 1.4 the answer is yes because you are updating all the files that have changes since Spybot-S&D 1.4 was releases on 2005-06-01.
The only possible exception would be if you elected to download "other language" files in which case you do not have to download language files other than your native language with the exception of English. You should download all English language files since in some languages not all files have been translated.
You're right - it helps to know what the updates are. I don't know how often I've updated this program because I'm running Win 98 and downloading or updating just about anything causes it to crash so unless I know exactly what it is, I ignore it. And I don't know what these are.
Here they are - thanks for your reply.

Just to give you an idea of the updates that may be required for an initial update of Spybot-S&D 1.4 after installation (although this list may not 100% complete or accurate).
Since I don't know if the tech who worked on my computer four years ago in another state ever updated it and I've been using it since would you say that EVERYTHING should be updated?
You should download everything listed. However, before downloading I suggest that you go into Spybot > Help > About and make sure that you are running Spybot-S&D 1.4 not Spybot-S&D 1.3. Unless you are running Spybot on a Windows 95 system, you should be running Spybot-S&D 1.4.
Hi All,
I need help please. Will someone please tell me what the update "Startup Info" - "Updated startup entry descriptions" does? I'm using Spybot S & D verson 1.4
I don't if the this is the only use of the Startup.tnfo file, but I know that the Startup.tnfo file is used to provide the information displayed when you go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > System Startup and then highlight an entry and click the button on the right hand edge of the list of startup entries.
