Error message help please

Hi I keep getting the following message: 2\unins000.msg

This prevents some programs opening or functioning at all. I have been advised to uninstall Spybot and re-install it, but it will not allow me to do either. I would really appreciate any help or advice the forum can give me. Many thanks in advance.

What operating system do you have?
Is it mostly when you open .exe files that you get the 2\unins000.msg message?Could you explain for me what happens with that,and also what happens when you try to uninstall?
