Last week we concluded that your cleanup has restored my IBM laptop running XP. It has remained stable, thank you again.

I did notice this morning that the volume level pop-up is gone. Prior to the infection and repairs, when the volume up/down buttons were pushed, the green amplitude-tapered lightbar would pop up. It is not present now. I checked the Control Panel options and they are OK, I checked the services.msc Windows audio options and that is good. A web search suggests that because of our cleanup, I should now download new keyboard drivers for this laptop. I can live without the pop-up, I hesitate to make any changes now, and would appreciate your guidance.

It's likely Keyboard Customizer Utility installation that has gotten corrupted. Reinstall for that should help.
