explorer error message when using spybot

Hi all,

My computer has been running slow, hanging up, etc. I tried running spybot and other security progams and they stop before they are complete, due to an error message regarding internet explorer.

Can anyone help me with this? Has anyone had a similar problem? It happened 4 times today. I'm wondering how I can fix this.

Thanks for your response. I use Internet Explorer 6.0. I have been going to upgrade but didn't want to muddy the waters until this is resolved.

Still can't complete Spybot search and destroy.
