There is a new very nasty virus. The screen promotes itself as the FBI but, it is without a doubt a virus that is worldwide. All one needs to do to confirm this is talk to techs who fix hard drives and they will tell you that this is very nasty.
It has turned up in China, Israel, Germany and the United States, and I'm sure there's more but that's what I heard.
It plants itself on your MBR and destroys partitions on your hard drive. Be aware!
Oh and as far as I know Avast has NOT made appropriate changes to their antivirus program.
