Framedyn.dll

Recently every time i start Spybot i get the following message

Spybot.exe Unable to locate component

This application has failed to start because Framedyn.dll was not
found.Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Yet when i 'click' OK spybot starts up!Should i just ignore it or re-install SSD

The problem is usually caused by a bad path. Please read the following Microsoft Knowledge base article:

Thanks for the quick reply.

Followed the Microsoft support article,but could not find Framedyn.dll.Am now stumped.

Any ideas

Sorry to be a complete dork.Just found HarleyRider thread of 30-11-2005,your reply 0050 15-09-2006 shows to edit Path.On my system Path has following value shown C:Windows\system32;C:Windows;.Assume this is the one to Edit

As long the "Variable name" is "Path" that should be it. Change it to:

• %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\wbem

Done as you said,but i still get problem and as well SSD won't start at all.

Make sure that you have framedyn.dll in the following location:

• C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\framedyn.dll

Then edit Environment path variable to:

Windows\system32;Windows;Windows\System32\Wbem

No,only things in System32\wbem are Snmp,Xml 7 Logs.Hope this helps as i am getting rather lost.
