Apologies if this post is in the wrong place.
I've noticed something on my PC and I want to check if it is malicious before wasting your time with my logs.
My PC crashed a few days ago and on startup it was very, very slow so I opened Task Manager to see if some processes were in fact "not responding" rather than just taking their time. I noticed the following entry:
FreedomHiddenWindow
The icon was the blank Windows one (small white window with blue top). I did a full scan of SpyBot and NTL NetGuard, plus Windows Defender, but they found nothing.
Today, I spotted it again when I opened Task Manager for another reason.
Is this a known threat? Or is there an entirely harmless explanation and this is one of the many things people like me don't need to know about let alone worry?
I'll run the recommended processes and get the logs ready now, just in case you tell me you cannot answer without all the usual details.
