wow I think that did it! my screen turns to low power mode the the led turns orange, the computers light blinks instead of a constant beam. one last thing, I'm running ati tray tools, and i have a radeon 1800xt video card. Is there a way to make it shut off it's fans when i go to standby, because the fans are still going when it goes to standby. Thanks alot!

I updated the drivers as well as catalyst Control Center, the fan is still on during standby. Ati Tray Tool is a third party tool, but it's really professional and i love using it and I wouldn't want to use anything else. Any ideas that would fix this without me having to not use ati tray tools?
