Hi

I'm hoping some of you lovely people can help me out. I had a Virtumonde virus a while ago but thought everything was clean but Avast was no longer working properly. I re-installed it the other day and everything started going wrong. Although avast hasn't picked up any viruses, I launched Kapersky scanner and it found not-a-virus:Dialer.Win32.BT.g Spybot has also found numerous adware. I have searched the internet on help to remove these but I'm not very IT literate so your support would be appreciate. Here is a HJT log.

Hi, know its Virgin Media. The S+D scan report is really long, whats the best way to get it to you? It is too big for me to attach in one txt file....

Thanks for the info.

Anyway that file is not malicious as it's dialer for BT internet (part of Yahoo!)

You can just post beginning of that report; it has info I need :)

Avast still won't run properly even after re-installation, is that because of the tracking cookies? Excuse my ignorance I just don't really have a clue about this stuff!

Thanks for your help....

Well, everytime I turn on the computer Windows advises that there is no antivirus running and I the little avast icon doesn't show in the corner. I re-installed it and it worked for a bit until I turned off the computer and turned it on again...Don't know whats happening with it.

So then I think that you can ignore it.

Go to control panel - security center and choose that you supervise yourself antivirus.

Did it help?
