Get rundll error on tapi.nfo, cannot run any anti virus software

Will follow latest instructions shortly

Hi,

I was away, climbing in Yosemite this weekend so have not gotten around to following your last set of instructions. I just wanted to post this reply so the thread doesn't close out due to no response.

I'm curious, did you recognize what I had as a known bit of malware? Seems pretty nasty to me, what started as "Windows Police Pro" which was fairly easy to find and get rid of, but there was really something else, deeper in the system and harder to find and eliminate that kept cropping up with braviax, a.exe, b.exe, msa.exe, svchast....

Anyway, I'm sure glad to get your help. Looks like you've rooted out the bad stuff.

Hi,

The rogue was accompanied by max++ rootkit.

I'll leave the topic for a few days so you may post back when ready :)

Appears to be all clean and secure - THANKS!!!

HI,
After following all of your instructions this computer seems to be all clean and secure. It's running better than it has in a long time due to many of your suggestions to clear out the old junk.
I'm going straight from here to the donations page... I figure a computer shop would have to charge at least $500.00 U.S. just to clear out the virus and they would not have helped with all the rest of the clean up.

THANKS AGAIN!!! Computer Saved.
