Hangs on uninstall

How can I get rid of this software?

I tried reinstalling fresh and it still hangs. I tried manually uninstalling, but can't remove the Program Files folder because it says those files are still in use, even after a scan.

It has been like this for 30 minutes.

Remove thru Safe Mode, but if it doesn't work, try manually, if still doesn't, reboot in safe mode but with no running uninstaller.

When I uninstalled SpyBot S&D Beta, I disabled all it's services beforehand. Immediately after that, without restarting Windows, I was able to uninstall via Add/Remove Programs.

There were a few folder/files in it's install folder, which I deleted via Windows Explorer. I haven't yet bothered to check the Registry, as I will install the pre-release version, if there is a method to permanently disable SpyBot S&D services from running. On this WinXP Pro machine, they all restarted on Windows Restart after being disabled.

I had the same problem, and like Gopher John, after stopping the services for Spybot Search & Destroy 2, the uninstaller ran successfully.
