Help installing Spybot 1.6.2

I am not very technical and need some help.

I did a spybot update and started installing 1.6.2 ... but my kids were in a rush to finish their homework ... and it seemed to be taking forever ... so I hit cancel. Thinking I could install it again later.

Now when I search for updates it says no new updates available.

I am still running 1.6. How do I get 1.6.2 to start installing again?

I'm not so clear about what's going on with the application updates, but I'm sure it'll get fixed soon.

Another alternative for the time being would be to download Spybot-Search&Destroy 1.6.2 directly as a .exe file and update from there (meaning you should uninstall your current version and upgrade). How does that sound? :euro:

Yep. That is always an option.

Just funny when I did the cancel ... it said I would have an opportunity to install again.

If you have the program sbsd162upd.exe in the C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Updates folder, you can try executing that. Otherwise download Spybot 1.6.2 from any of the sites listed here:
