I use Firefox almost 100% of the time, and I have found that when I first boot my computer, when I click on Firefox it takes about 15 seconds to load, but after that it loads just fine.
Open up Firefox and go to Help> About and make sure its version 3.5.3, if not go to Help> Check for updates and install the latest updates.
Open up Firefox and go to Tools> Clear Recent History
Run this cleaner, make sure you run the ones for the Firefox tab also, you may have a bunch of junk in your Temp files slowing it down.
Please note: If you use online banking or are registered online with any other organizations, ensure you have memorized password and other personal information as removing cookies will temporarily disable the auto-login facility.
If none of this helped, then I will direct you to a Firefox forum where the Fire fox experts can help you. Let me know
