Hi

No need to be worried. That one (and other bad items in system restore) gets cleaned when you do system restore reset according to the instructions in my previous post :)

All done

I cannot thank you enough for all your help.
I've done everythnig as suggested but:
-not able to uninstall Combofix. Even copied it as it is typed but getting "Windows cannot find Combo-fix. make sure you typed that name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button and then click Search"
I even tried Combofix /u still gettign that error message.

Didn't install hosts file as it said it was optional, but what can I expect as I didn't.

Thanks
kazii

You're welcome :)

Where is your ComboFix.exe (or renamed one) file located in? Latest CF log shows that it's C:\Documents and Settings\Danielle\Desktop\Combo-Fix.exe. has its location changed after that?

Didn't install hosts file as it said it was optional, but what can I expect as I didn't.
Hosts file helps making surfing safer by blocking bad sources. I use it myself and haven't regretted my choice :)

Hi

Let's try removing with a batch file.

Open notepad and then copy and paste the bolded lines below into it. Go to File > save as and name the file fixes.bat, change the Save as type to all files and save it to your desktop. (If you are still unsure on how to do this there is a little tutorial with pictures here)
@echo off
c:
cd\Documents and Settings\Danielle\Desktop
Combo-Fix /u

Double-click on fixes.bat file to execute it.
