Help - Possible computer infection

I do not know if this is still the appropriate place, but my computer is now more sluggish than previous. Could this have occurred due to the changes we implemented or is it just from time, or, is it more malware?

Those changes we made shouldn't cause slowdowns. You may see here for some performance improving hints.
 
Thank you very much for your assistance. I shall keep going with my computer and if anything more major appears I shall return to this forum and create a new thread.
