my question is about firefox and i need to know what do you change in about:config for cookies i forgot what you change
Where are you seeing the tracking cookies,do you see them after doing a Spybot scan?and yet i still get tracking cookies
i see them when i go into options>>>privacy>>>show cookies that is where i see the and when i change the number do i have to restart my browser?ok i am able to check my mail i just needed to check my mail for email confirmationDid you change the number to 1 or 2?If 1,you may have to go back and change iit back to 0 again to be able to check your mail.(Changing it back to 0 will allow third-party cookies again.)If you changed it to 2,this blocks all cookies.

Important : If you want to use CookieSafe you have to change the value of "network.cookie.cookiebehavior" back to "2" again.
No sweat,I missed it,too. My fault. It was pretty late last night. Ofcource you it must be "0".
thank you for your help everyone i will now have less stress with uncommon and common tracking cookiesNo sweat,I missed it,too.
Glad you can check your email now.
Yes,when you set it to 1,to block third-party cookies, you will still probably get the occasional tracking cookie(s),though it should cut down on most of them.If you want to remove the tracking cookies, this shows how you can do that, plus keep the cookies you want.

You can block doubleclick by going to Tools->Options->Privacy->Cookies->Exceptions,then typing doubleclick.net,then hitting Block. Then do the same thing again, but write doubleclick.com.
