How to elevate to administrator status

Folks,
Iv'e used Spybot for years but new Windows 7 installation won't let me immunize unless I elevate myself to administrator status. I've gone to properties and security and tried to click on the administrator entry but it then wants me to enter something in an object window. No luck. Can someone please walk me through what to do?

I just experienced this on my wifes laptop running Vista,,I never had this problem before (I've posted it in another thread here) I used the help menu and it tells you to right click on the desk top icon and select "run as administrator",,I don't know if in windows 7 you have that option or not but you can try it. I'm hoping I won't have to do it everytime I want to immunize,,which I have to do now for some reason.

Why is it that after I right click on the icon, then select run as administrator, I still get this message after immunization is complete?
